on the chiswick green there is this gorgeous dark church. it's stunning exterior is not quite reflected in its interior, but it's a lovely feature to look at while sipping a cup of coffee from across the way.
i read about roy being attacked by one of the "performing" tigers and my only response could be, "well, what did you expect?". i'm sorry, but tigers - along with most other animals - are not meant to be put on a stage and made to perform. they are wild animals - animals that we can not predict, rule over or domesticate. what an absurd idea and i must say, i'm surpised this attack didn't happen sooner. perhaps i sound heartless. i just can not stand to see animals treated in such a way, and then when they do react by instinct they are put down for being agressive to humans. hopefully this won't be the case with Montecore (the tiger involved). i can not say that siegfried or roy mistreated their tigers - i have no idea - but i do know that tigers were never intended for vegas shows. that being said, i do hope roy will pull through with very minor lasting injury.
this is a fabulous article for anyone doing or interested in doing design work. andy touches on some really good points. i wish i had read this article about 2 years ago instead of having to learn the hard way;)
